Deritend Large Rotating Machines (LRM)
Deritend LRM was opened in 2008 as a purpose built specialist 24hr heavy engineering facility offering industrial gearbox repairs, refurbishment, replacement, machining and fabrication.
Located in Brandon Way, West Bromwich the works is specially designed for the service and assembly of large rotating machines, the new facility complements the work done at Deritend RMB’s Union Street site. Work will includes designing, building and assembling large gearboxes and heavy machinery from scratch.
There is a permanent staff 24hrs seven days a week working in 32,000 ft sq of space, typically serving industries such as power generation, mining and steel production. The works craneage includes three 20 ton cranes as well as other smaller ones, which means that extremely large rotating machines can be accommodated.
